The Working Power of the Word of God Creates New Life

1Peter 1:17: If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;
18:knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,
19: but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
20: For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you
21who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
22: Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,
23:for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is through the living and enduring word of God.

This upcoming Sunday we will be celebrating resurrection Sunday. It is good to know that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is also working in us who are believers in Christ. It is good also to celebrate and remember that we as believers were purchased with a price, the precious blood that was shed by our redeemer Jesus Christ. The word of God has power and the ability to make us into who He wants us to be.

That precious blood represents to us that we are adopted as sons and daughters to our Heavenly Father. What a wonderful free gift that has been offered to us who believe. We are sealed with the promise of the indwelling Holy Spirit as a pledge that we belong to the only truly one and living God.

It is such a blessing to me to see the power of Christ working in the midst of my church body at the christian and Missionary Alliance in Cambridge Springs. I have realized that without Christ a group of people can accomplish nothing. When we allow Him to be the head of the church that He will build, great things will begin happening. He can do exceeding abundantly more than you can ask or imagine.

As a testimony to others in my local church, I want to encourage you that people are noticing that their is new life happening here. Several people are noticing that there is always something going on here. As an example for this week on Sunday we had Sunday school and morning worship, Sunday night it was two Bible studies and teen youth group. On Monday night it was Alliance women,s meeting, On Tuesday night there is a home study. On Wednesday, There will be two home studies, and our regular prayer meeting at church. On Thursday morning is the intercessory prayer meeting. Thursday night is the Team Kids Youth meeting. On Friday we are hosting the community Good Friday service. On Saturday there is a planned bridal shower.

So as you can see the power that raised Christ from the dead is also working in the church body and as we are approaching spring and noticing the old things springing back to life once again let us also rejoice together as we see newness of life springing forth in us. And let us anticipate and be hopeful to see the fruit that is yet to come.

Happy Resurrection Day! Jesus is alive, Jesus is alive, Hosanna to the Highest!
